Use of 3rd Party & Counterfeit Eaton Carter Parts
There have been cases where it has been discovered that end-users were using non-original Eaton Carter parts when servicing their equipment. These could be 3rd party parts such as o-rings or bolts and in some cases, these parts were passed off as genuine Carter parts by unauthorized traders. There have been cases where more unique parts have been machined by unauthorized fabricators.
Please see attached letter from Eaton regarding this. I think the most important thing that end-users need to understand is that using non-genuine parts could potentially be dangerous as the Carter components are operating under high pressure.

Flow direction is outside-in and this is a single stage water and particulate filter suitable for Type SM, Category C or M Jet Fuels. Howard Gammon, 1922-2018
Haneflex is saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Howard Gammon, Chairman of Gammon Technical Products on 6 January 2018. Howard passed away peacefully in his sleep, at home in his own bed at the age of 95 years and 10 days.
Howard has been a dear friend to the Ngiam family and to the staff of Haneflex. He is also a legend in the Aviation Fueling Industry and authored many of the popular GamGram articles that is well read within the industry.
